As a QA Test Engineer you'll collaborate with a small, Agile team to define test strategies for features or whole applications; you'll establish test environments and frameworks and work with software developers to achieve high levels of test automation with a focus on the front end / Web UI using TypeScript and Playwright.

You'll work end-to-end, liaising with the Product Owner to define User Stories, through to executing manual and automation tests, performing exploratory testing and investigating new tools and processes.

Requirements:
• You're a skilled Test Automation Engineer with the ability to understand complex software products and work out how to test them
• You have TypeScript and Playwright test automation experience for client side applications
• You have a good knowledge of Exploratory and manual testing and test automation
• You have a good understanding of SaaS
• You have end-to-end testing experience
• You enjoy problem solving and collaborating as part of a cross functional Agile team
• You believe in automating wherever possible

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Working within AWS to architect and operate highly available, secure production services.
• Working with containers and utilising different methods of orchestration e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
• Develop applications to provide core functionality.
• Configure / Build infrastructure using terraform (IaC)
• Debug complex issues in systems spanning multiple components.
• Researching, learning, and suggesting new systems to add to the core platform stack.
• Create pipelines and automations systems to improve the development process.
• Embody the ideals of a security first culture and DevSecOps
• Help train and mentor other developers / engineers.

Technical skills & Desirables:

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tooling (CICD Pipeline, GitLab, Gitups, Jenkins)
• Expert familiarity with scripting languages (bash/python) and security best practice etc.
• Experience and expert-level knowledge of Source Code Management,

• Polished communication skills: face-to-face, verbally, and in writing - must be able to listen carefully to other teams and guide them towards the optimal solution.
• Familiarity with development - likely to have previously been a developer.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools
• Good database administration understanding - Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Experience debugging and maintaining complex systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years & experience in DevOps.
• Experience managing a team of DevOps engineers and driving process improvements alongside their career development.
• Strong technical background in operations, including expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure - Azure (preferred) or AWS.
• Solid administration experience Windows Server, Active Directory and Remote Desktop Services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work.
• Effectively with cross-functional teams
